This is a go-to slow cooker recipe that’s a staple in our home. It comes together very fast - with just dried spices for seasoning and store-bought broth, the prep is done in minutes - and at the end of the day you have a substantial pot of wholesome goodness.

With simple dried spices, pantry-friendly ingredients, and your slow cooker doing all the heavy lifting, this recipe is as easy as it is versatile. Enjoy it as a full meal, turn it into soup, pack it for lunches, or freeze extras for later — it’s wholesome, economical, and easily adaptable.

You can use boneless thighs to make it even easier - but we like the flavor and richness the bones and skin add to the final product, not to mention the added nutrition.
